Maggie Shirk

Hello!  I'm a television and film Actress, and Headshot photographer as well as a mom to 3 lovely girls and a wife to an amazing husband.  Additionally, I am your friendly neighborhood eye doctor. Really!  I am a practicing OD.  I often get asked how I find the time to do all of these things.  The secret is.... I'm really driven, I love to be busy, and I work hard.  Owning my Optometry practice has been super helpful by giving me the freedom to be flexible with my time.  I divide my days... and it just works out.  I'm pretty fortunate!

On the acting front, I spend time in class, and have created a zoom collective of actors working together to advance their careers.  We meet weekly and run scenes.  I've recently been creating my own content with short films of genre's I am passionate about.  These are being prepped for festival right now!  I enjoy editing the films myself whenever possible.  I live by the motto.. If it can be learned.. I can do it! Right now I'm busy preparing for the next big thing!  I have a lead role in a feature film (indy) in post production, was recently in a costar role on The Blacklist, and Bluebloods.  Aiming for the Guest Star and beyond!!  I'm working hard, but hardly working.. because all of this is just too much fun to be called work!
